Serving Opportunities

At MCC, we’re a family. In a family, everyone has to do their part. This is why we ask each person who calls MCC “home” to help share the load by serving in some way. We call our serving opportunities "Missional Teams" — because everyone who serves at MCC is a part of our mission to help as many people as possible meet & mature in the Jesus of the Bible.

Each week, we have people attend MCC who don’t know Jesus and therefore, we invest a great deal of time, effort, and energy into ensuring we create a distraction-free environment. We believe this helps people focus on the message being preached each week.

KIDS TEAM

We believe that kids are a valuable part of the church family. We seek to partner with parents as they raise their children to know and love God. Classes available vary, but every kid experience will be staffed by thoroughly vetted leaders (including a national background check) with the intent of creating an age specific environment that best affords them the opportunity to hear and understand the love of God for them. We do this by:

Prioritizing a smooth, quick, and safe check in experience to help ensuring parents know their kids are being well cared for so they can focus on being a part of the weekly gathering. Keeping the kids ministry welcoming, safe & healthy. Serving a few per month during the service to fill a variety of roles including taking care of babies, teaching kids and assisting the teachers. Engaging kids with age appropriate crafts, lessons, games, and activities.

As the only team that misses the worship service, you deeply bless the parents of MCC. We want to ensure that this is a safe, clean, & loving environment for our kids at all times. To support this, all people serving in MCC Kids must pass a criminal background check.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS TEAM

Joining First Impressions Team means being the welcoming face of MCC to each guest that comes on a Sunday morning. We do this by:

Making a positive first impression the moment new guests enter the church Leading people to the coffee, the bathrooms & the kid's check in. Helping people get connected by introducing them to others. Manning the HUB. Arriving first so others know we were expecting them. {normally 30 min early}

At all MCC events we strive to make people feel welcomed and loved

WORSHIP BAND

We labor to produce gospel-proclaiming, Jesus-praising worship gatherings where life-change is expected. Each week we progress through a journey of lifting our eyes to give thanks to and testify about Jesus, as we prepare to passionately ascribe Him ultimate worth. We do this by:

Leading worship through singing and playing music Meeting weekly to rehearse Continuing to grow in skill

MEDIA AND TECH TEAM

The production team works hard to support the church through audio, visual, and service production. Every week we work hard to create an atmosphere that allows for worship and preaching to be unhindered by distraction. We do this by:

Running the sound, lights, and media presentations used on Sunday morning Meeting for special trainings Continuing to grow in skills

FACILITY TEAM

We have been entrusted with a 30,000 square foot facility on 4 acres. Being a good steward requires the investment a growing team of men and women. We also know that the care of our building sends a huge message to every guest. As such, we know that this team is as much a ministry as any other. It is this teams responsibility to steward our facility well. We do this by:

Regular exterior care such as mowing, weeding, bark, pressure washing, window washing, etc. Organizing and executing projects such as painting, sheet rocking, replacing failed equipment, etc. Weekly maintaining a clean interior through moping vacuuming, cleaning, washing windows, emptying trash, etc.

Although this team is often unseen, their impact is one of the most visible. Your involvement will help steward our resources and improve the effectiveness of the ministry of MCC.

EVENTS TEAM

We often do large communities events as a tool for outreach or as a way to serve our community. Many of these events require large numbers of volunteers and serve hundreds in our community. Our desire is to host community events that draw people to Jesus through demonstrating the love of Jesus. We do this by:

Planning and organizing effective and meaningful events. Showing up, whether to man a bouncy house, give away school supplies, grilling a hot dog, or help with crowd control, showing up may be the most important job anyone can do. Soliciting funds from business, seeking out partners, and writing grants.

We believe that the church should be the most joy filled people with the best news the world has ever heard. As such, we attempt to bring a party filled with life and redemption to every event we host. If you love people and enjoy have fun this is a great team for you.
